Dear hiring manager, 

My name is Saif Khan and I am a sophomore attending the City College of New York, specifically the Grove School of Engineering; majoring in mechanical engineering. I came to find out about your company through YP.com (The Real Yellow Pages) while looking for opportunities in my area, and it came to me as a surprise that the office for your company is only a few blocks away from my residence. Being a mechanical engineering major who would like to focus solely on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) in the real estate industry; I strongly believe that my candidacy best matches any possible openings as an intern in your company since I am eager to get some hands on experience. 

I categorize myself as being a very diligent and persistent individual in any walks of life; already having experience in plumbing (see resume attached). I have done oil to gas conversions, underground water mains, hot water tanks, as well as bathroom roughing and finishing jobs among others. I would be extremely grateful if this opportunity falls my way because not only is it exactly what intrigues me, but will also be very convenient on my end being close to home; therefore lateness would never be an issue.
